- Mackmyra Brukswhisky
Brukswhiskyn is a Mackmyra premium single malt whisky.
ABV: 41,4%. No color/caramel and non chill filtered; it can occasionally have small haziness and or a
small veil in some bottlings. Base whisky has matured in 200 liters Ex-Bourbon Barrels for about 5-6
years. Spicing casks are quarter casks (100-128 liters) of 1stfill sherry and new Swedish oak. The
distillate we use is mostly our elegant recepy but we add up to one cask of our smoky whisky in the
vatting. Brukswhisky won a gold medal at the IWSC 2010 and was rewarded the 2011 “European
Whisky of the Year” (95,5 points) in the Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible. For the time being, Brukswhisky is
only available in Sweden and on travel/retail around Scandinavia. Price in Sweden: 398 sek (Swedish
kronor). - Mackmyra Special:06 Sommaräng (transltd: Summer Meadow)
A Mackmyra Limited Edition being released in Sweden 2011 on May 2nd.
ABV: 46,8%. No color/caramel and non chill filtered. Base whisky has matured in 200 liters Ex-
Bourbon Barrels for about 7 years from our satellite warehousing on the islands of Fjäderholmarna in
the inner archipelago of Stockholm. Spicing are quarter casks (100-128 liters) and smaller Blood Tubs
(30 liters) of ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, new American oak and new Swedish oak. The casks being used
are new, 1st and 2nd fills together with a few recharred Scottish casks in the mix. The distillate used in
the vatting is only our elegant recepy. Price in Sweden from 2nd of May: 595 sek. Available for
specialist shops, on request and allocation. - Mackmyra Moment Jord (transltd. Earth)
A Mackmyra Very Limited Edition, the fourth Moment bottling. Released in Sweden 2011 on August
1st (aprox.1470 bottles of which Systembolaget has bought 650).
ABV: 55,1%. No color/caramel and non chill filtered. The base whisky is here from the great whisky
we laid on casks in 2003 on from four refill hogsheads, vatted together with some whisky finished in
French Bordeaux wine casks. The distillate used in the vatting is only our elegant recepy. Price in
Sweden: 1095 sek. Available for specialist shops from this summer on request and allocation. The 1st
(Moment Medvind) and 2nd (Moment Urberg) was released in December 2010. A few bottles of Moment Urberg
and Moment Medvind are still available. - Mackmyra Moment Drivved (transltd. Driftwood)
A Mackmyra Very Limited Edition, the third Moment bottling. Released in Sweden 2011 on August
1st (aprox.1460 bottles of which Systembolaget has bought 650).
ABV: 55,5%. No color/caramel and non chill filtered. The base whisky is from four refill hogsheads
that has matured for 7 years in the Bodås Mine warehouse, vatted together with some smoky whisky
from a ex-bourbon cask- plus a touch of on new Swedish oak matured whisky. Price in Sweden: 1295
sek. Available for specialist shops from this summer on request and allocation.
