Vorige week alweer de eerste nieuwsbrief verstuurd. Hoog tijd om hem ook hier te plaatsen voor degene die (nog) niet in de mailinglijst staan

Whisky friends,

Boy time flies! Already three weeks have passed since Maltstock 2010. What a fantastic Maltstock weekend it was again. Everybody had a very relaxing and enjoyable time.

We would like to thank everybody who helped making this weekend such a terrific event. A big thank you to all our volunteers, to the industry people, to our sponsors and of course to all of you who were present this year: thank you all!!

Already we've seen many pictures on Facebook, thanks! There are also some on our website, as well as movies and reviews. We will be adding more over the next few weeks.

We really would love to have your feedback so we can further improve Maltstock (and smile reading how everybody enjoyed themselves . We have put a short survey on our website and we would appreciate it if you take a few minutes to let us know what you think. There are two survey's: one is for the people present at Maltstock 2010. the other (very short) one is for those of you who sadly couldn't attend. We would love to find out why and how we can improve.

Yes we will back! Maltstock III will be 9-11 September 2011. So put these dates in your agenda. Or even better, got to our webshop and get your Maltstock 2011 tickets.

Maltstock all inclusive
For the third edition we have decided to make Maltstock an all inclusive weekend. With the exception of the whiskies from the whisky collectors and the raffle, everything during the Maltstock weekend is included! So not just diner, BBQ, accommodation, Scottish breakfast, but also lunch, beers, soft drinks and water. Of course there will also be free masterclasses again, a campfire and a whisky quiz. And as always there will be many whiskies to share and enjoy without paying extra for them.

We now have the Maltstock 2011 program online! So please visit the Maltstock website to see the full program.

We're very happy Stuart Thomson (former Ardbeg manager) and George Cairns from the Edinburgh Liqueur Company will join us again. Donald MacLellan will be there for Glendronach and David Stirk with some great whiskies from his Creative Whisky Company. We have Antony McCallum-Caron from Glengoyne/Chieftains. And of course the great chaps from Master of Malt will be there again. This time they will host a "lost distilleries" tasting! Last year Compass Box provided a unique Breakfast Whisky. This year Gregg Glass from Compass Box will come to Maltstock! All this and more to look forward to!

Food
To get off to the perfect start, the highly praised Highlander Inn will come all the way from Craigellachie, Scotland to Maltstock again, to prepare a perfect Scottish breakfast for us.
On Saturday evening we will of course have a BBQ. It will be a bit different though this year. It's in the very capable hands of Harry Havinga and his team. They are currently ranked 5th in the World BBQ ranking (yes apparently such a ranking does exist). It will be a BBQ to remember!

Maltstock tickets
Make sure you buy your Maltstock tickets on time. As always there will be no tickets sales at the Maltstock gates. All tickets need to be bought in advance. And tickets are selling faster than ever.
Maltstock is an all inclusive weekend. For just 175,- euro's you have two nights accommodation, all food and drinks (including the whisky) and access to the free masterclasses. But above all: you will enjoy a very relaxed whisky weekend amongst fellow enthusiasts!

Voor iedereen die wel graag naar Maltstock slaapt, maar de voorkeur geeft aan de privacy van een hotelkamer boven de Maltstock slaapzaaltjes, hebben we nu speciale Maltstock tarieven op het hotel het dichst bij de Maltstock locatie: Hotel Umberto in Wijchen.

Tarieven
2-pk = 74,- euro per kamer per nacht
1-pk = 60,- euro per kamer per nacht
Tarieven zijn exclusief ontbijt. Er staat voor iedereen een fantastisch Schots ontbijt klaar op Maltstock. Indien je toch in het hotel wilt ontbijten dan kan voor 10,- per ontbijt, ter plaatse te voldoen.
Niet inbegrepen is de toeristenbelasting à 0,65 per persoon per nacht. Deze dient ter plaatse te worden voldaan.

Less than six weeks until Maltstock. And what a terrific edition it promisses to be. We have a great program lined-up for you. And ticket sales are going amazing. We're actually almost sold out! So if you don't want to miss out this year you better get your tickets soon.

Maltstock clothing
Many of you might have seen us at the various whisky festivals over the past few years, wearing our Maltstock logo. We've had quite a few requests from people if they could aslo buy a shirt. Well good news, now you can!
In our webshop we now have polo shirts available, T-shirts and hoodies! If you order yours before August 15th, you can collect it at Maltstock. But of course we can also send it to you. Click here to visit our webshop.

Free whiskycruise
A free whiskycruise? Yes, a free whiskycruise! That's the grand prize in this year's Maltstock raffle. One lucky person will get to go on a three day whiskycruise worth 250 euro. On board there will be a mini-festival and masterclasses. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included. This prize is very kindly donated by whiskyshop Zeewijck in IJmuiden, the Netherlands.
