Naar Schotland in Covid-19
Geplaatst: 02 Aug 2021, 18:33

Because Netherlands is on the amber list, visitors from there who have been fully vaccinated need to take a Covid-19 test booked on the CTM portal (within the day 2 or their arrival day (which counts as day 0), hence the test can be taken on day 1 or day 2 after their arrival. Coronavirus (https://www.gov.scot/publications/coron ... countries/)

I would just like to highlight the options for the test to take on day 2 after their arrival to UK, are not the same in England and in Scotland. In Scotland it has to be the NHS test provided through the online booking portal CTM, while private sector tests can be used in England.
The rules of the country your clients are on day 1 and 2 apply. If they will be in England on day 1 and in Scotland on day 2, they can choose to take the test in England (following England’s test options) or in Scotland (following Scotland’s test options). Although, it they are staying overnight in Scotland from the day after their arrival onwards, they will need to request the test through the CTM portal (following Scotland’s test options).
When using the CTM test kit, swabs need to be posted by priority box (a specific post box distributed around the country that can be located on the instructions sent with the tests). The result usually comes back within 24/48 hours via text message or email and visitors do not need to stay at the same accommodation while they wait for the results.
We would advise you to book the test for the day 2 in advance before departure on the CTM portal. You will first need to choose the country you are travelling into (England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland). When you choose Scotland, it asks you to select the airport you arrived into (Edinburgh, Inverness, Aberdeen, Glasgow or Glasgow Prestwick). On the following step it requests the test delivery information (the address where you want to testing kit to be delivered, can be anywhere in Scotland).
